Language of Walls Exhibition & Book Launch in Amsterdam

On Sunday, June 28, 2026, we will celebrate the official launch of Language of Walls with a special exhibition and book launch event in Amsterdam.

Created by Portuguese photographer and author Antonio Duarte, Language of Walls is a photographic journey through street art, urban textures and visual stories captured across cities around the world. The book brings together walls, murals, colours, layers and details found in places such as London, Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Miami, New York, New Orleans, Cancún and more.

For this launch, we are bringing the spirit of the book into a physical space. Guests will be invited to explore selected images from the project, discover the book in person and experience the visual language of street art through photography, music and community.

A Celebration of Street Art and Urban Culture

Street art is often temporary. A wall can be repainted, a mural can disappear and a message can be covered overnight. Through photography, Language of Walls preserves fragments of urban culture before they change, fade or vanish.

The Amsterdam exhibition is an invitation to slow down and look closer. To see walls not just as backgrounds, but as living surfaces filled with expression, identity, colour, humour, protest and memory.

The launch will bring together art lovers, creatives, travellers, collectors and anyone curious about the stories cities tell through their walls.

About the Book

Language of Walls is the first photography book by Antonio Duarte.

Across its pages, the book explores the creative energy of public spaces and the unexpected beauty found in streets around the world. More than a street art photography book, it is a visual archive of places, moments and urban expressions that often go unnoticed.
