From the Language of Walls Photography Collection
Photographed by Antonio Duarte in Jacksonville, Florida, this image captures Unity, a monumental mural created in 2016 by Australian street artist Guido van Helten.
Painted on a working cement silo, the mural portrays two young local activists, transforming an industrial structure into a powerful statement about community and togetherness.
What fascinated me was the scale of the artwork and how something as industrial as a cement silo could become a canvas for such a human story. The quiet expressions, the incredible detail, and the contrast with the surroundings make this one of my favourite discoveries in Jacksonville.
